Bismart will be attending the Big Data Congress at the Auditorio AXA in Barcelona from October 25-26, 2017. This is the third edition of the congress, organized by Big Data CoE Barcelona.
The congres is designer to be a meeting point for professionals, businesses, and providers who are either currently working on Big Data projects or would like to become involved.
As part of the event, the Barcelona Center for Excellence in Big Data (Centre d’Excel·lència en Big Data) is launching an exciting new program that Bismart is proud to from part of. The program is called Big Data Impact, and will involve a series of activities to spread awareness of the things Big Data can do to positively impact our world.
The Big Data for Social Good activity will be taking place on Thursday, October 26 in Barcelona. At the event, a range of initiatives and projects from both the private and public sectors will be presented.
All of these projects use Big Data and Big Data Analytics to make our world a better place. They tackle some of the most pressing issues we face today – healthcare, emergency services, public safety, education, sustainability, and even social issues.
Our Marketing Director, Ismael Vallvé, will be speaking at 1 p.m. on October 26th in a special session. He will be participating in a round table discussion about how to take a Big Data idea from concept to project. He will also be discussing Bismart’s groundbreaking new solution, Folksonomy.
Alongside Mr. Vallvé will be Joan Mas, the Digital Technologies Division Director of Eurecat; Nicolás Herrero, the lead data scientist at Wallapop; Jose-Miguel Pulido, the co-founder of Promofarma; and Stefano Constantine, a data scientist at the Schibsted Media Group.
